Overview

Restless Wind Suites was designed to accommodate 20 or more persons for large events such as weddings or sporting events and such, or for as few as 1 or two persons in individual suites.

We paid a lot of attention to details and to making the place green. We have LED lighting, reclaimed lumber that we made doors, floors, furniture, and trim out of, and no Volatile Organic Compounds in our finishes (VOC's)

How do we provide so much space?

There are two areas of 500 sq. ft. each that are available for use to various suites. It is a little complicated, but we like to call them "creative spaces" for lack of a better term.

For example, each Penthouse unit also has access to a spectacular Green Roof with 180 degree ocean views, a view of the adjacent Martha's Vineyard Campground, and is surrounded on one side by trees. This adds another 500 sq. ft. to the penthouse usable spaces in addition to another 500 sq. ft. of kitchen/living room atrium.

But it does not stop there either. Each unit in addition to its own kitchenette also has use of a full kitchen and atrium living room that adds another 500 sq ft of usable space and is perfect for gatherings outside of the rental suite.

This is one way in which "creative space" helps to make life more enjoyable at Restless Wind Suites. See us on our Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Restless-Wind-Suites/181546041955565

Eco Processes

The title of this blog is eco-processes after all and so you should expect to hear something about that. Here is a little bit of what we have done to make your life better. One thing that you will notice right away is the quality of the floors. They were creatively constructed using rough lumber from a sawmill that had planed one side of the lumber so that it could be patterned. We did that, but we also did something very unusual. The floors are treated with a recycled whey product that is the waste from making cheese. Yes, that's right, as in curds and whey. The whey is made into a polymer. This then is applied and it is completely organic and has no VOC's. Also it is stronger than polyurethane or varnish and is water based. So applying it is also healthier for the workers. That is one thing that we have done.

But look around. You will notice that everything has received a special touch, is custom built, or is a completely new design. It's a fresh look in a creative package.

More About the Suites

You will find our rates very fair and range from $1,000 per week in low season to $1,900 a week in peak season with a one week minimum. Our minimum stay off-season is three nights and our minimum occupancy is one person.
The suites combine in terrific ways. There are two suites on each floor. On the second floor the two suites can be but not necessarily are connected by a lockout. This makes for either two or four bedrooms and two full kitchens plus a kitchenette and an atrium living room with sky lit 16 foot ceilings. Or, they can be rented separately and one of the units can be fully independent of the other units.

The Restless Wind Suites are ideal for weddings and large family or friend connected gatherings with the ability to host gatherings in the common areas and then retire to completely private two bedroom suites at any time. It is like an Inn in this case, but the spaces are much larger. It is like a home in a way, but far more private. It is like a hotel in some ways, but larger, less expensive, green and with great opportunities to see 180 degree water views from your relaxing rooftop garden surrounded by trees.
